The majority of people come to West Coast Swing classes in Pittsburgh by themselves. We rotate partners throughout the class, so you'll get to dance with everyone. It's one of the best ways to learn, and to meet great people.
How your first class works
Four simple steps to your first West Coast Swing dance in Pittsburgh.
Show up
Arrive a few minutes early. We'll welcome you and introduce you to other dancers.
Learn the basics
The beginner lesson covers everything from the ground up. No preparation needed.
Practice with others
We rotate partners so you'll meet lots of people. Everyone learns together at their own pace, it's a supportive, encouraging environment.
Stay for social dancing
After class, stick around to dance with more experienced dancers and put what you learned into practice, it's where everything clicks!
Your beginner pathway
Start with our Monday night beginner lesson — a flat $15 covers the whole evening, no partner or experience needed. Want a structured on-ramp? A new 4-week Wednesday beginner course starts Sept 9 at Rooted in Movement in Cranberry ($20/week). See the schedule for details and the Eventbrite signup.
